Within days of the deadly January 12th earthquake in Haiti, a Kentucky Orthopedic team sprang into action closing their thriving orthopedic practice and traveling to Ouanaminthe Haiti to begin treatment of Haitian earthquake victims. The week, although remarkably successful from a medical standpoint, was emotionally draining even for this seasoned group. Through the skilled efforts of the orthopedic surgery team, many earthquake victim's lives and limbs were saved. One of the team doctors received this touching thank you note from a family member: Dear Dr, I just write u to thank u 4 all. Uve saved the leg of my brother. Me and my family wont get enough money for this surgery but u just did it free. ...Sincerely: Lesly
